Perched on a bluff overlooking the famous Kenai River and Cook Inlet, we are centrally located between Soldotna and Kenai—making day trips to Seward or Homer easy. Our commitment to excellence has earned us the “Outstanding Business in Tourism” award, and we continue to reinvest in our community, especially focusing on at-risk youth through Matti’s Farm.

Meet the Martins
Blair and Ronna Martin are second-generation Alaskans who have spent decades shaping Diamond M Ranch Resort into what it is today. They raised their kids on the farm, instilling in them the same love for the land, hospitality, and tourism that has been part of the Martin family for generations.
Now, their children have grown, started families of their own, and are carrying forward that same passion—making four generations of Martins dedicated to sharing the beauty of Alaska with visitors from around the world.

The roots of Diamond M Ranch Resort go back long before it became a destination for travelers. Carrol and JoAnne Martin came to Alaska in 1963, eventually settling on the Kenai Peninsula in 1975, where they raised cattle and horses and expanded their farmland over the years. As word spread about their land’s close proximity to the Kenai River, fishermen from all over the state began asking to park their RVs on the property during salmon season. That’s when Carrol had an idea—why not turn it into something more?
At the time, Blair and Ronna were living and teaching in rural Alaska, starting a family of their own. Carrol saw an opportunity for them to return home, raise their kids closer to family, and build something lasting. So, with Carrol’s encouragement, they took a leap of faith. The idea of an RV park and resort was born, and together, they transformed the land into a place where visitors could not only stay but truly experience Alaska.
What started as a simple concept—offering a place for fishermen to park—has grown into an award-winning resort that welcomes travelers from all over the world. Though times have changed and the next generation has pursued their own paths, the Martin family’s legacy of hard work, hospitality, and love for the land continues to shape the resort today.
